March 3, 2022

Dear Parents and Guardians,

I hope this finds you and yours doing well. As many of you are already aware, Governor Murphy recently announced that effective Monday, March 7, 2022, masks and face coverings will no longer be required in our schools or on our buses. As a result, the students, staff, and visitors in our district will have the option of wearing a mask within our schools and on district provided transportation. While this marks an important step forward in the operation of our schools, please understand that schools will continue to follow established health and safety protocols in regard to preventing the spread of COVID-19.
Additionally, we ask that our families continue to follow appropriate hygiene practices, stay home when sick, and take all the necessary precautions outside of our schools to ensure our school community can continue to operate safely. If you have any health-related questions or concerns, we strongly encourage you reach out to your primary care physician or your school’s respective nurse.
We are grateful to our school nurses and administrators, the Woodbridge Township Department of Health, and other health officials for their continued work to establish protocols to help keep our school community safe. We appreciate the community’s ongoing support and look forward to this new transition in our school buildings on March 7. If you have any questions, please contact your child’s school.

Best regards,
Joseph Massimino, Ed.D
