He is a 5x World Hoop Dancing Champion who started Hoop Dancing when he was five years old. He learned how to Hoop Dance from his father and has now started teaching his son. She is a Native American Pottery maker who wanted to continue the tradition of pottery making in her culture. She made the pottery and her husband painted the designs. She also spent time teaching other women how to make pottery. Select Choir rehearsal will take place after school today in room 604. Todays Native American person of interest is Maria Tallchief She is an American Ballerina & America’s first major “Prima Ballerina” & the first Native American dancer to hold this title She was inducted into the Women’s Hall of Fame in 1996. The Scholastic Book Fair has a room change. It is still happening December 3, 4, and 5. However, it will now take place in Room 117. Items range in price from $3 to $20. Attention ALL students - In the Girl’s bathrooms, there are new dispensers for emergency purposes. DO NOT take these items “just in case”. ONLY take one if needed while in the restroom. To clarify, in one day, more than 100 items were taken, emptying 2 of our 3 dispensers. We have NEVER needed this many when students had to come to the nurse for their needs. The following is a friendly reminder that school and offices will be closed in Woodbridge Township School District starting Monday, November 4th through and including Friday, November 8th for Fall Break. Additionally, schools and offices will be closed on Monday, November 11th for Veterans Day. Offices will open back up and classes will resume on Tuesday, November 12th.
