Woodbridge Township Families, As you are well aware, there was a glitch today, March 17, 2025, with our notification system, Thrillshare, and resulted in messages going out to all of our 14,000+ students from some or all of our 24 district schools. As the error was on Thrillshare’s end of the system, our district could have shut down our entire network and the messages and alerts would still have gone out. Our analysts have received confirmation from Thrillshare that the issue with their data processing has been resolved and steps have been taken to provide reassurance that this does not occur again. We have also received confirmation that this was only an issue with attendance notifications; we were not hacked and there was no breach in student information or confidential data. All schools in Woodbridge Township School District will be closed Monday, March 3, 2025 for a Staff In-Service Day. Schools will reopen and classes will resume on Tuesday, March 4, 2025.

All schools and offices in Woodbridge Township School District will be closed Monday, February 17, 2025 for the Presidents Day Holiday. Offices will reopen and classes will resume on Tuesday, February 18, 2025.

Due to the expected weather conditions, all Woodbridge Township schools will follow the two hour delayed opening schedule tomorrow, Wednesday, February 12, 2025. High schools will begin at 9:40 a.m. Middle schools will begin at 10:15 a.m. Grades K through 5 will begin at 10:55 a.m. The morning Preschool will begin at 10:55 a.m. The afternoon Preschool will begin at 12:55 p.m. As a reminder, all bus pick-ups will be delayed two hours as well.

Today, January 31, 2025, marks the last day of the second marking period. Report cards and Kindergarten progress reports will be available at 8 a.m. on Friday, February 7, 2025 via Genesis Parent Access. Should you have any questions, feel free to reach out to your student’s school.

Marking Period 3 begins on Monday, 2/3/25. Please have your child review their schedule/classes in Genesis for the new marking period. Report cards for Marking Period 2 will be available to view in the Parent Portal on Friday, 2/7/25.

Only Middle & High School students in the Woodbridge Township School District will follow the early dismissal schedule on Friday, January 31st. Early dismissal times are as follows: Grades 6 - 8 will be dismissed at 12:45 p.m.; and Grades 9 - 12 will be dismissed at 12:10 p.m.

All schools and offices in Woodbridge Township School District will be closed Monday, January 20, 2025 for the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday. Offices will reopen and classes will resume on Tuesday, January 21, 2025.

All schools and offices in the Woodbridge Township School District will be closed starting Monday, December 23, 2024 through and including Wednesday, January 1, 2025 for Winter Break. Offices will reopen and classes will resume on Thursday, January 2, 2025.

All schools in Woodbridge Township School District will operate on the scheduled early dismissal plan on Friday, December 20, 2024. Morning Pre-K classes will be dismissed at 11:30 a.m,; Afternoon Pre-K will begin at 10:30 a.m. and will be dismissed at 1:10 p.m.; Full day Pre-K and Grades K through 5 will be dismissed at 1:10 p.m.; Grades 6 through 8 will be dismissed at 12:45 p.m.; and Grades 9 through 12 will be dismissed at 12:10 p.m. Aftercare will be available to eligible students.

Dear AMS Families, As September came to an end this past week, and we embark upon the month of October, we have been very busy at Avenel Middle School. At this point in time, both students and teachers have established routines, and are engrossed in meaningful learning experiences on a daily basis. Next week we look forward to celebrating our Week of Inclusion and Respect. Please see the attachment for a list of spirit days for our Week of Respect and Inclusion, as well as for the entire month of October. During the Week of Inclusion and Respect, students will participate in various activities that focus on Social Emotional Learning and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. We will also have our first Spirit Week of the year and will cap the week off with our first pep rally on Friday, October 11. On Thursday, October 10th at 5:30 p.m. in the cafeteria, we are going to host our annual "Guidance Night." At "Guidance Night", our counselors will present information on the following topics: Genesis Parent Portal Harassment, Intimidation, and Bullying Laws Social Emotional Learning Alcohol, Drugs, and Tobacco Prevention/Programs We invite you all to come to this informative session! Hello AMS Families, Hope all is well. Just a few reminders for the next couple of weeks. Wednesday, 9/25 is School Picture Day. All students, for the purpose of creating School I.D.s will be photographed, regardless if pictures are going to be ordered. If your child is interested in participating in Basketball (Grade 7 and 8 students only) or Cheerleading (Grades 7 and 8 students only), physical forms are due by Tuesday, 10/1/24. If physical forms are not submitted by that date, there is no guarantee that your child will be cleared by the WTSD to participate in tryouts. AMS after school clubs will start on Tuesday 10/1/24. If your child is bus student, we do have a late bus that leaves at approximately 4:05 p.m. Hope everyone has an enjoyable weekend!
